We've got a lot to be thankful for at Help.com. We decided to take the spirit of gratitude that's such a great part of Thanksgiving and ask the team what they're thankful for. Here's what they had to say.
Thankful for a great family, friends, and a job where I'm excited to go to work on Monday. - Doug
I'm thankful for having an excellent friend base out here in my brand new home of Austin. It definitely made the transition from moving from the North East to Texas (and really just transitioning to the real world) much easier and more comfortable. It also made exploring the area and the culture of an unknown place much more fun! -Alex
I'm thankful for being where I am right now. I'm so lucky to wake up every day and do something I love with people who I love being around. I am fortunate enough to get to travel for my job, go to shows all around the country, and chase the best food both in Austin and elsewhere. I have an incredible family who supports everything I do and I've got a friend group who is all doing really amazing stuff and is still able to stay in touch. I know how lucky I am and there's not a day that goes by where I don't have at least one "wow, I'm really fortunate" moment. That's a pretty cool thing. -Graham
I’m thankful for Bose noise-cancelling headphones so I can sleep on planes and concentrate on work when all that spontaneous and creative collaboration is happening in open office plans. -Jonathan
Perhaps cliche, but I'm always the most thankful for my relatively good health, wealth and freedom. blessed. every. damn. day. I could literally talk your ear off listing all the things I have to be thankful for, including: Best Wife Ever™ and My Dog Is A Generous Dog™ Basically, Life Is Good® and I'm Feeling Lucky® -Buster
I have a lot to be thankful for this year. First, I was able to welcome our second beautiful child into our family. Second, we moved from New Jersey to the amazing Austin, Texas. Lastly, I started an incredible job at Help.com with some great people. I can’t say enough to thank my beautiful wife, Britney, She has stuck with me through all this and has been so wonderful through everything. I wouldn’t be anywhere today without her. -Adam
It has been awesome being given the opportunity to be moved halfway across the country to come work with this awesome team at Help.com and I will always be thankful of that.First and foremost, however, I am most thankful of my loving wife and son who have made this trip with me - love you guys! -Spencer
Aside from the obvious (family, friends, health, my cat Lulu), I’m most thankful for modern technology. My GPS has gotten me through some pretty scary times and without it I literally wouldn't have made it to Austin. You’d likely currently find me roaming around Northern New York wondering why it hasn't gotten warmer yet. I’m also a lover of pop culture, and think Netflix is one of the best inventions since sliced bread. -Kayla
I am thankful for the following: 1. The health and safety of my family. 2. A great job working with wonderful people. 3. Alta got has a 42 inch snow base and it's not even Thanksgiving yet. 4. Netty, an asynchronous messaging library for Java. -Ryan
I am thankful that all the advances in medical science in the past year. Cancer, Heart Disease, ALS and other severe disease survival rates are at an all time high and it's only going to go up. Thanks to the awareness and research, we are pulling together to accomplish this feat. In result, we have the highest life expectancy of any other generation and that's something to be thankful for as well. -Randall
I'm thankful that all of my businesses and clients are doing well. After going through the stark reality of a failed startup earlier this year, it's nice to have businesses and a job that "just works" and that doesn't feel like it's going to fall off a cliff at any given moment! I'm grateful to work here at Help.com as well. I have enjoyed getting to know the team and help with the development of the product and initial marketing. I'm glad this worked out for all of us! - Erica
